Webinar on Flexible Online Teaching and Learning for Basic & Higher Education

June 19-20, 2020 (Friday - Saturday)

The Networked Learning PH is a professional organization of online teachers and ICT for education (ICT4E) researchers in the Philippines. It promotes inclusive education by training teachers to gain and demonstrate competencies in line with a 21st-century education. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a new normal in education is unfolding. Many learning institutions in the Philippines are shifting to remote/online learning due to the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ). The majority of teachers need to be trained to handle remote/online teaching and learning. Thus, in response to this new reality, NLPH is organizing an intensive 2-day online teacher training titled: The New Normal: Webinar on Flexible Online Teaching and Learning for Basic and Higher Education on June 19-20, 2020.

The general objective of this webinar is to help teachers and administrators in basic and higher education in the Philippines to transition to online education.

OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the 2-day intensive training webinar, basic and higher education teachers are expected to:

  1. Understand and adopt flexible online teaching and learning modalities in their respective learning institutions;

  2. Convert traditional learning materials to online learning modules/courses;

  3. Use online tools in delivering interactive learning activities;

  4. Implement a self-organizing learning environment in order to sustain, share, and collaborate with students and colleagues outcomes-based learning programs.
